New Jersey's largest non-teaching hospital, Community Medical Center, is located in Toms River, adjacent to GSP access ramps. Additionally, there is a large of selection of medical offices for everything from general practice physicians to a wide-range of specialists.
Students in kindergarten through 12th grade attend the Toms River Regional Schools. The district houses 12 elementary schools, 3 intermediate schools (which are among the largest in the state), and 3 high schools. Students in this section of town attend North Dover elementary, Intermediate North, and High School North. Alternatively, if a private school education is what you are seeking, Toms River is home to St. Joseph’s Elementary School and Donovan Catholic High School. Ocean County College, a two-year college that offers four-year options in cooperation with Kean University, is located on Hooper Avenue in Toms River.
