Manchester Township, in Ocean County, encompasses almost 83 square miles in NJ Pinelands and has a population of close to 44,000. History buffs are quick to associate Manchester as home to McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst Naval Base, the site of the Hindenburg disaster that took place in May, 1937. State highways 37 & 70 run through the township and provide easy access to major roadways such as I-195 and the Garden State Parkway. New York, Philadelphia, and Atlantic City are all within very reasonable driving distance (less than 90 minutes) and you can be at the Jersey Shore with your toes in the sand in merely half an hour.
